Tropical Delight: A Review of Lush Princess Peach Body Spray

Being a long-time fan of Mario, I was thrilled to discover the collaboration between Lush and Nintendo for their new movie partnership (which, btw, is pretty damn good). While most of the collab was composed of shower gels that didn’t pique my interest, the Princess Peach Body Spray immediately stood out due to its description of peach and pineapple notes.

Princess Peach reminds me of the sweet tropical fruitiness of the Gummy Bear shower jelly, another limited edition release. If you enjoy Gummy Bear or tropical fruity scents in general, this body spray is a must-have. It’s so good that it’s even overtaken my old favourite, Snow Fairy, as my all-time favourite Lush scent!

Like with most Lush body sprays, the scent lasts much longer on clothes than on skin; I could still smell the delectable fragrance (about 50/50 peach/pineapple) on my clothes a day later, whereas it only lasted about 4-5 hours on my skin. However, I’ve never been a fan of Lush’s body spray packaging, as the bottles resemble that of bug spray.

At £30 for 200ml, the price is very reasonable considering how long it lasts. I still have a 3-year-old bottle of Snow Fairy that’s only half used, so I’ll definitely stock up on another bottle (or two) of Princess Peach before it’s discontinued.

For reference, here are a few other Lush scents I like and use (in order):
Snow Fairy, HIWTK (Honey I Washed The Kids), Yog Nog (though slightly less due to its spicy notes), LTGTR (Let The Good Times Roll), Calacas, The Comforter

If you’re a fan of tropical fruity scents but don’t live near a Lush store, I’d say Princess Peach is a safe blind buy. It’s especially perfect for the summer months, so I highly recommend grabbing one before it’s gone!
