I adore cake – I mean, who doesn’t, right? That’s why I just had to snap one up when I spotted the NCLA Beauty So Rich Birthday Cake Cuticle Oil on sale at Cult Beauty. My poor neglected cuticles are often in dire need of some TLC, so I was hoping this oil would do the trick.
The cuticle oil comes in a cute 13.3ml bottle with a handy pipette dispenser. There are small glittery pieces in the oil which, while pretty, can be slightly annoying. They’re small enough to get stuck in the dispenser, and I end up with random bits of glitter on my nails, which then fall off and are never to be seen again.

This cuticle oil is lovely, but it feels less nourishing than I’d like, and the effects only last for a while. And as for the scent, it’s marketed as “birthday cake”, but it smelled more like subtle vanilla to me.
As I purchased it on sale for £9, I think it’s reasonable, but I’m not sure I’d be willing to shell out the RRP of £15.
