The Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey fragrance has been one of my favourite perfumes for many years. I love its sweetness, fruitiness, fresh peachy notes… everything! Even though I’m not usually into perfumed body lotions, I had to try the Nectarine Blossom & Honey because I love its fragrance version so much.
The Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey Body & Hand Lotion comes in a 200ml bottle with a convenient pump dispenser. It’s a lightweight lotion that smells just like its fragrance counterpart and can be layered with the fragrance for a longer-lasting effect. As much as I love the fragrance, it being an EDT means its longevity could be better. But when layered with the lotion, I can still smell the fruity scent 5-6 hours later instead of the usual 2-3 hours.
However, although this body/hand lotion does indeed smell absolutely fantastic, it’s nowhere near as moisturising as most of my other body creams. The “lotion” part implies it’s not as rich as a body cream, but still, I expected more from Jo Malone. I think the primary aim of this product is to scent rather than to moisturise.
The lotion has a light, airy feel but leaves a slightly greasy feeling on my skin. If you were to remove the Jo Malone name and delicious fruity scent from the lotion, you’d be left with a relatively average product. It didn’t provide enough moisture for the skin on my body and was a bit too greasy for my hands – I want my hand creams to sink in ASAP, and this one doesn’t.
If you love the Nectarine Blossom & Honey scent, buy the perfume. While the lotion is nice to have, it’s not nearly moisturising enough for me to justify re-purchasing.
So whether this is worth the money depends on what you want to use it for – to layer with Nectarine Blossom & Honey fragrance for a longer-lasting scent? By all means, go nuts! But if you want to quench dry, thirsty skin? Look elsewhere.
